What this site is

What is down? (what-is-down.com) shows the operational status of third-party services, drawn from each provider's public, official status page, plus our own reachability measurements and derived statistics (uptime, incident history, comparisons). It is operated by The Flaggship Group. It is free to use.

No affiliation

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any provider listed. Product names, logos and status information belong to their respective owners. Status text shown here is authored by the providers themselves.

No warranty, no SLA

Everything on this site is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. Statuses can lag reality: providers acknowledge incidents late and close them early, our polling runs on an interval, and our probes measure one network path from one place. Uptime percentages and comparisons are derived from providers' own published incident records — they are not SLA measurements and must not be relied on as such. Do not use this site as the basis for decisions where an error could cause harm or loss; check the provider's own status page and your own monitoring.

Acceptable use

The JSON report, RSS feeds and badges exist to be used, including in your own tools, READMEs and dashboards. Be reasonable with request rates. Don't misrepresent this site's data as your own measurement of a provider, and don't use the alert integrations (Slack, Discord, web push) to send anything to channels you don't control.

Alert integrations

Slack installs, Discord webhooks and push subscriptions can be removed by you at any time (from the manage link, from Slack/Discord's side, or via the button that created them). We may disable an integration that fails permanently or is abusive. Alerts are best-effort delivery — see "No warranty" above.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Flaggship Group is not liable for any damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, this site or its data — including decisions made based on a status, statistic or alert that turned out to be wrong, late or missing.

Changes

We may change these terms or the site itself at any time; the date above reflects the latest revision. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.
